HOUSTON – A man identified in court records as a Navy veteran is accused of running over two valet workers outside the new 1111 cocktail bar on Westheimer Road after not being allowed into the VIP area, according to records.
Ademola Adejobi, 49, was arrested just after 3 a.m. Saturday on two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Houston police tell KPRC 2 News they got called to the popular bar that opened a few months ago at the intersection of Westheimer Road and Yoakum Boulevard around 1:50 a.m. on Saturday.
Two valet workers, a 29-year-old and 23-year-old, according to police, had been run over. The older victim had to be rushed to the hospital.
Adejobi went to the bar with his wife and left before being seated because they couldn’t get into the VIP area, according to court records.
When they tried to leave, the valet parkers initially wouldn’t give Adejobi his keys until he paid the $40 fee, records show, but somehow he managed to take the keys.
One of the workers then tried to stop Adejobi from leaving “in some fashion,” according to records, before he pressed on the accelerator and tried to leave the parking area.
Adejobi’s wife claimed one of the workers laid on top of the vehicle, while Adejobi claimed he just hit a parking cone, according to records.
“This is a situation that ... obviously got terribly out of control,” Harris County magistrate judge Temple Ramming said during Adejobi’s probable cause hearing.
His bond was set at $40,000 total, which he has since posted, records show.
In 2022, Adejobi was arrested for assault of a security officer, a felony, but the case was dismissed after records show he completed an anger management class. He also had a deadly conduct charge dismissed after prosecutors said it couldn’t be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
Adejobi works as a healthcare consultant for Piedmont Hospital, according to court records.
