CLEVELAND, Tx – Liberty County Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3558 Friday morning, July 24th following a report of a man kicking a dog on a leash.
Investigators say a witness gave them video showing Jenaro Jimenez repeatedly kicking the dog, named “Hulk.” The video also showed Jimenez pulling on the leash in an apparent attempt to force the dog to stand before continuing to kick the animal, including in the face, deputies said.

Jimenez was located at a nearby residence and taken into custody. He told investigators he was “only trying to push his dog,” according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies reported Hulk had an abrasion above his right eye and redness in the eye. Deputies obtained an Affidavit for Seizure of Animals. The Houston SPCA responded and took possession of the dog.
Jimenez was booked into the Liberty County Jail on an animal cruelty charge. Bond was set at $10,000, officials said.
