FIFA Fan Festival is closed for the day due to weather conditions

HOUSTON – The FIFA Fan Festival closed early Saturday due to bad weather.

In a news release, officials say the decision to close was out of an abundance of caution for the safety of everyone there.

Storms have moved though the Houston area all day, some bring lightning, heavy rains and some street flooding.

According to officials, the fan festival will open back up at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
