SPRING, Texas – For Dr. Parthiv Mehta, dentistry is about more than treating patients. As he told 2 Helps You, it’s about giving back to the community he considers family.
As the owner of Charm Dental, he is preparing for another large-scale day of giving, offering free dental care to members of the community who show up to his practice in Spring.
“Either we must be crazy for doing this or we really enjoy what we do,” Dr. Mehta said. “That’s really the way I want it.”
Far from being crazy, Dr. Mehta is a skilled dentist with a passion for serving others. He also proudly notes another distinction, “I’m the only doctor in the whole family,” he said.
For Mehta, his extended family extends well beyond relatives. It includes the community he serves every day.
That commitment is why, on Saturday, he and a team of 46 doctors and staff members will once again provide free dental services, continuing a tradition they have maintained for the past two years.
“We’re proud to be at that point where we can give back,” Mehta said.
The impact is significant. The free dental work provided during the event is expected to total six figures in value.
“There is no cap essentially for us,” Mehta explained. 2 Helps You asked if there was a specific goal in mind? Without hesitation he shared “$100,000.”
Approximately 50 people have preregistered which alleviated being bogged down with paperwork Saturday morning. By having patients preregister it allows for Mehta and his team to get right to work.
The reality for Mehta and his team is that the rewards go far beyond dental procedures.
“It changes the person from inside out,” he said. “So changing those personalities, changing those functions, it’s eventually changing lives.”
Those interested in attending can visit Charm Dental, located at 3403 Louetta Road in Spring, on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Community members are encouraged to arrive early.
