Reports from national news outlets are claiming that singer Oliver Tree has died following a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
According to a report from TMZ published Sunday morning, Oliver Tree Nickell — whose stage name is Oliver Tree — died in the crash. He was 32.

Nickell was aboard a helicopter with four other passengers that reportedly collided midair with another helicopter. The second aircraft was carrying only the pilot. All six people involved were reportedly killed.

Nickell gained international fame through hit songs such as “Life Goes On,” “Miss You,” and “Alien Boy.” He also maintained a large social media following and became widely known for the popularity of his music on TikTok.

A YouTuber known as “Gaspi” has also been reported as one of the victims in the crash. He was reportedly riding in the same helicopter as Nickell.
