4-year-old found alone overnight in west Harris County reunited with parents; authorities say child snuck out of house

Authorities say a young child found alone overnight in west Harris County has been reunited with his parents.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found a 4-year-old child around midnight near Highway 6 and Via Del Norte.

Officials say the child was alone when they were discovered.

The sheriff’s office says the child’s parents called 911 around 9:30 a.m. to report the child missing.

The child was getting checked out at a hospital when the parents called and he has since been reunited with his parents.

The sheriff’s office said the child snuck out of the house overnight and no charges will be filed.
