Firefighter injured while battling fire at concrete facility in north Harris County
HOUSTON – A firefighter was injured Tuesday during an overnight fire at a concrete mixing facility in north Harris County.
Little York Firefighters responded to the fire located in the 9756 block of Veterans Memorial around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday. Multiple agencies had to be called to assist due to a lack of hydrants in the area.
One firefighter had to be treated at the scene for a burn injury, and hazmat crews were called in due to an unknown substance in several 55-gallon drums.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
