Man dies after vehicle overturns multiple times down embankment on Crosby Freeway

CROSBY – A man is dead after deputies said he lost control of his vehicle and was ejected from it Monday morning in East Harris County.

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash in the 17300 block of US 90 and Sheldon Road around 1 a.m.

Deputies said they found the man unresponsive after he reportedly lost control of his vehicle while traveling eastbound on the main lanes of the Crosby Freeway. The man’s vehicle then went down an embankment, flipping multiple times.

Deputies said the man, who is in his 30s, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway to determine what exactly caused the crash.
