Passing drivers capture videos of car engulfed in flames on Interstate 610 Video obtained by Grizzy’s Hood News

A vehicle fire caused disruptions along one of Houston’s busiest corridors Sunday afternoon.
According to authorities, a car burst into flames on the westbound side of Interstate 610 at Memorial Drive, prompting a swift response from the Houston Fire Department.
Videos of the fire were posted to Facebook after being sent to Grizzy’s Hood News.
Officials had to close both the entry and exit ramps at Memorial Drive as crews worked to extinguish the fire and secure the scene.
Drivers in the area were asked to use caution and expect significant delays.
It’s unclear at this time what caused the vehicle to catch fire or if anyone was injured.
