One person dies in Conroe trench collapse

CONROE, Tx – OSHA is investigating after two workers were trapped early Saturday afternoon when a trench they were working in collapsed.

The Conroe Fire Department responded to the scene around noon on South Loop East at FM 3083.

One worker died before he could be rescued. The second victim was transported to the hospital.

North Montgomery, The Woodlands and Caney Creek fire departments assisted in the rescue.
