Suspect opens fire on METRO bus during dispute over fare price

HOUSTON – METRO police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday night on a bus in the Heights.

Police responded to reports of shots being fired on a bus around 7:40 p.m.

When officers arrived, although the suspects had fled the scene, the bus driver said a rider got upset over the bus fare and fired a shot on the bus. No injuries have been reported.

Police are reviewing surveillance video to help identify the suspect.
