Toddler critically injured in shooting at Channelview home, HCSO says

CHANNELVIEW, Texas – Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies are at the scene of a shooting involving a young child in Channelview.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, deputies responded to a residence in the 700 block of Onaleigh Drive, where a toddler—possibly about 3-years-old—sustained what investigators described as an “unintentional gunshot wound.”

The child was reported to be in critical condition, and Life Flight has been requested.

Crime Scene Investigators and detectives are also responding as the investigation continues.
