Randall King out as opening day headliner for Galveston County Fair & Rodeo

Organizers cite personal reasons for artist's withdrawal

HITCHCOCK, Texas – The Galveston County Fair & Rodeo announced that country artist Randall King will no longer perform as the Opening Day headliner on Friday, April 17.

Organizers said the cancellation is due to personal reasons. In a statement, the fair and rodeo wished King “all the best as he takes time to focus on his health and well-being.”

A new Opening Day performer is expected to be announced soon.

Tickets remain valid; no refunds

The fair and rodeo said all tickets for April 17 remain valid and will still include admission to all fair events and the concert.

Organizers also noted that, per the event’s ticket policy, no refunds will be issued.
