Man arrested after 1 killed, another injured in double shooting at Spring Branch motel

HOUSTON – One man is dead and another has been hospitalized after a shooting at a motel in Spring Branch.

Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the Scottish Inn Motel located at 3300 Antonie. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 60s shot to death and a man in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to the initial investigation, police said the gunman was leaning against one of the motel rooms’ doors and refused to move when confronted by the 60-year-old man who had rented the room for the night.

Officers said several people attempted to get the man to move, and the gunman became agitated, walked away, but then turned around and started shooting, hitting two people.

The suspect then left the scene, but was later found at an apartment complex on Hammerly and Hollister.
