Senior Scholarship recipient Elizabeth Swoboda succeeds through grit, determination at Stratford High School

HOUSTON – KPRC 2 and American Furniture Warehouse are surprising 20 deserving high school seniors with $2,500 scholarships in 2026. All students selected for scholarships have been nominated by their high schools.
Elizabeth Swoboda, a senior at Stratford High School, is the tenth KPRC 2-American Furniture Warehouse Senior Scholarship winner from the class of 2026. Stratford High School is part of the Spring Branch Independent School District.
An aspiring journalist, Swoboda is active in her school’s broadcast journalism classes and the Stratford Playhouse Theatre. She is involved with several organizations including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Women in S.T.E.M. and I.G.N.I.T.E.
Swoboda volunteers her time through the National Charity League and National Honor Society.
We know this hard-working student has a bright future studying journalism. Swoboda plans to attend Texas Christian University.
