Woman shot in neck at gas station about a mile from NRG Park

HOUSTON, Texas – Houston police are searching for the person accused of shooting a woman in the neck near NRG Park, where the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show is happening.

Houston police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2700 block of Westridge around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, about a mile away from the Houston Rodeo.

When officers arrived, they found a woman sitting inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the neck. The woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

According to reports, the suspect was sitting in the back seat of the vehicle after the shooting but fled the scene before police arrived.
