Jackpot! Harris County Precinct 4 Constables shut down illegal gaming operation

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – In the gaming industry, the old saying is “the house always wins,” but on Thursday afternoon law and order turned the tables on an illegal game room in North Harris County.

Detectives and members of the Special Operations Unit with Constable Mark Herman’s Office shut down the room off FM 1960 West.

The room, secretly situated in a strip mall, had more than 80 gaming machines in operation.

Law enforcement detained one person during the afternoon raid and seized cash and an illegal handgun.

2 Investigates’ Mario Diaz was exclusively on the scene as investigators disabled all the machines.

The room — which had been operating for months, according to flyers inside — offered various casino-style games and also had an ATM.
