Man hit, killed trying to cross roadway in Atascocita

HUMBLE, Texas – A man was hit and killed trying to cross a roadway in Atascocita.

Deputies said it happened on FM 1960 near Pinehurst Trail Drive just before 11 p.m. Saturday.

He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene and investigators said he did not show any signs of intoxication.

There was no word on whether the driver would face any charges.

It was unclear if the victim was in a crosswalk.
