Mayor Whitmire to outline public safety, infrastructure plans in 2026 State of the City

As Houston continues to grapple with crime, infrastructure needs and economic growth, Mayor John Whitmire will address those issues during his 2026 State of the City speech.

Whitmire is expected to provide updates on public safety, infrastructure improvements, and quality of life initiatives, along with his vision for strengthening Houston’s economy in the year ahead.

The event, hosted by Houston First Corporation and the Greater Houston Partnership, will bring together business leaders and community members at the Hilton Americas-Houston downtown.
