‘Irate’ customer shoots at restaurant, strikes woman after being refused service, Houston police say

Suspect is still on the run

HOUSTON – An “irate” customer at Chacho’s Mexican restaurant shot a woman while firing at the building because he was refused service, according to Houston Police.

The shooting happened around 9:06 p.m. Saturday night. The restaurant is located on the corner of Tidwell Road and the North Freeway.

Police said when the suspect was refused service, he went to his car, retrieved a gun and fired towards the restaurant.

A woman in the parking was hit by the gunfire and was taken to a hospital by emergency responders, where authorities say she’s in stable condition.

Police said the woman was another customer, unrelated to the situation.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
