Houston woman charged with murder after boyfriend dies weeks after screwdriver stabbing

Suspect’s bond set at $150K

HOUSTON – A bond has been set for a Houston woman accused of killing her boyfriend with a screwdriver in December, according to court records.

Jayla Brown has been charged for the murder of Keylan Foreman, her on-again, off-again boyfriend, according to records.

On Dec. 27, 2025, Brown and Foreman were reportedly fighting at the intersection of Lockwood Drive and Laura Koppe Road in northeast Houston.

She allegedly struck Foreman with a screwdriver during the altercation, causing severe facial and brain injuries, according to Houston Police Department investigators.

Foreman was transported to the hospital but died weeks later on Jan. 19, 2026.

Brown’s bond was set at $150,000.
