Man shot after fight leads to shooting near Heights

Houston police seek public’s help in identifying suspect

HOUSTON – A man was in the hospital after a fight led to a shooting near the Heights.

Police said the victim and the suspect got into a fight in an empty field on Evelyn Street near Sharman Street at about 10 p.m. Friday.

“All of a sudden, the suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim at least twice,” said Lt. Ali with the Houston Police Department.

The victim was taken to the hospital and his condition was unknown.

The shooter ran away.

“As of right now, we don’t have any information on the suspect,” said Lt. Ali.
