Body found in bayou off North Freeway near Spring; investigation underway

SPRING, Texas – An investigation is underway after a person’s body was found in a waterway just off the North Freeway in the Spring-area Thursday.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says deputies made the discovery in a waterway in the 18200 block of the North Freeway, which is near Cypress Creek. It is unclear if the waterway in question is Cypress Creek or not.

The circumstances surrounding the person’s death is unknown at this time.

This is the second body found in Houston area bayou’s this year. Last year, 33 bodies were recovered from Houston bayous.
