HOUSTON – The Texas Gulf Coast Red Cross has opened multiple shelters across the Houston-area ahead of the winter storm.
“More than 149 trained Red Cross responders are currently engaged in readiness and response operations across the Texas Gulf Coast Region. At this time, our region has opened 6 shelters so far, and teams are assisting with additional warming centers to ensure residents have a safe place to go,” the agency said.
