Police search for driver in deadly crash in Houston’s southside

HOUSTON – Police were searching for a driver who ran away from a deadly crash in Houston’s south side.

Police said a truck and car collided at the intersection of Almeda Genoa Road and Cullen Boulevard at about 3:45 a.m. Saturday.

The pickup truck dragged the car, causing it to roll several times and end up underneath the truck.

The woman driving the car died at the scene.

The truck driver left on foot, and police had not yet released a description.
