Channelview Independent School District confirmed it is investigating an allegation involving a classroom teacher at Alice Johnson Junior High School.
In a statement, the district said authorities and the parents of the involved student were notified immediately and that the employee is no longer employed by Channelview ISD.

“Channelview ISD has received an allegation involving a classroom teacher at Alice Johnson Junior High School. Parents and guardians also received a letter from Superintendent Dr. Tory C. Hill.
“Dear Alice Johnson Junior High School Parents and Guardians,
I am writing to inform you that the school received an allegation of inappropriate conduct involving a classroom teacher. Authorities were notified immediately, and an investigation is currently underway. The employee has been removed from duties and is no longer employed by Channelview ISD.
Because this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide additional details at this time. Please know that we take these situations very seriously, and the safety and well-being of our students is always our top priority.
