HOUSTON – An armed robbery has been reported at a credit union on the University of Houston campus, the second time the business has been robbed since October.
The university sent out an alert Wednesday that the Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (TDECU) at UH Student Center South located at 4455 University Drive was robbed by a man wielding a black handgun at approximately 4:08 p.m.
The man allegedly entered the credit union while brandishing the handgun and demanded money. He was last seen running south toward the METRO platform at MLK and Wheeler.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately six feet tall with a slender build. He is approximately 160-170 pounds. At the time of the alleged robbery, he was wearing a black scarf covering his head, a black shirt, black pants, and grey sports sandals. He was also carrying a black backpack with grey stripes.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
Back on Oct. 28, 2025, the credit union was also robbed by an individual the FBI dubbed the “Cougar Campus Crook.”
