HOUSTON – Houston police say a man was shot and injured following an altercation in a parking lot near the North Freeway and Crosstimbers Street.

HPD Lt. Ali said around 3 a.m. Saturday morning, patrol officers received a call regarding a shooting and found a man shot in the leg.

The man was taken to a hospital and is in non-critical condition.

Lt. Ali said an altercation began inside a nearby facility before escalating into the parking lot. The suspect drew a firearm and fired approximately 10 rounds, striking the victim once, police said.

Police do not have suspect information at this time. They are canvassing the area for evidence and surveillance video.
