A memorial service will be held today to honor Firefighter Brandy Sharde Allinience, who died Dec. 16 after a brave fight against cancer believed to be related to her fire service.
The procession will begin at 9 a.m. at the Bayou City Event Center, 9401 Knight Road, followed by the service at 10 a.m. Attendees should enter from Knight Road and follow posted directions.
The service will be livestreamed on the Houston Fire Department Facebook page and website.
HFD asks for continued prayers for Firefighter Allinience’s family, her Station 21 team, and the department as a whole.
Allinience’s obituary describes firefighting as more than a profession for her — it was her calling. Known for her calmness in the face of chaos, she found deep fulfillment in knowing her presence could change the outcome of someone’s worst day. Colleagues remember her as a courageous and compassionate firefighter who inspired those around her.
