HOUSTON – As the year wraps up, another body has possibly been recovered from a Houston bayou Monday, Dec. 22, according to the Houston Police Department.
At least 33 bodies have been found shortly before 9 a.m. in Harris County bayous in 2025. At least 10 have been found in Buffalo Bayou, according to records.
The body was found at Buffalo Bayou, located at N. Crawford and Ruiz streets.
A crime scene unit, along with Houston police, responded to the scene.

Since 2017, 190 people have been found dead in the city’s bayous, according to records obtained by KPRC 2 News.
Nearly 40% of those deaths remain listed as “undetermined,” meaning investigators could not confirm whether those cases were accidents, suicides, or homicides.
