3 dead, child injured in Grand Parkway wrong-way crash

Wrong-way driving suspect faces pending charges after deadly collision, sheriff’s office says

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Three people are dead and a child is hospitalized after a wrong-way crash on Grand Parkway early Saturday, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said.

Officials said responders were dispatched to a major crash on SH‑99 near FM 1464 around 2 a.m.

Investigators said their initial findings indicate a family of four from Harris County was traveling northbound on SH‑99 when they were struck by a wrong‑way driver.

A woman and a girl died at the scene, and a man later died at the hospital. A 3‑year‑old child was hospitalized and remains in stable condition, officials said.

The 28‑year‑old driver of the other vehicle was also hospitalized with injuries and has charges pending, the sheriff’s office said.

This is an active investigation.
