Pedestrian dies after being struck by Baytown police unit on Highway 146 in Shoreacres area

A Baytown police officer reportedly fatally struck a pedestrian on Highway 164 in Shoreacres area, according to Baytown Police Department.

The officer was responding to a call-out when the accident happened, Baytown police said. The officer was not injured in the crash.

The investigation is being handled by Harris County Precinct 8, the lead investigative agency.
