HOUSTON – Crews have extinguished a fire in an 18-wheeler that caused the eastbound lanes of I-610, the South Loop, to shut down at I-45 on Tuesday.
The 18-wheeler was reportedly carrying 5,000-6,000 gallons of sulfuric acid. However, the Houston Fire Department said the tank did not rupture, so there are no environmental concerns.
