One killed, three others critically injured in crash in Northeast Houston

HOUSTON – One person was killed, and three others were injured in a crash in Northeast Houston.

Police said a driver veered off the Eastex Freeway at the North Loop ramp at about 2 a.m. Sunday.

They said the car went down an embankment into a grassy area and possibly rolled multiple times.

Four people were inside the car.

Three were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

One person died at the scene.

“We’re still investigating how this all happened and what occurred so it’s still ongoing at this time,” said Sgt. Michael Barrow with the Houston Police Department.
