GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas – A municipal court judge for the cities of Hitchcock, Santa Fe, and Bayou Vista was arrested following allegations he sexually assaulted two children over a several year period in the early 2000s.
Marvin Douglas Rotenberry was booked into the Galveston County Jail on two charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child. He has since been released on a $160,000 bond.
According to court documents, one of the victims alleged Rotenberry first assaulted her when she was 8-years-old. The sexual assaults continued until she was 13, according to the documents.
Another victim alleged Rotenberry had sexually assaulted her on at least two occasions when she was between the ages of eight and 10-years-old.
It is unclear what Rotenberry’s status as a judge is at this time.
