The tank farm is located in the area of 12600 Warrenwood Drive.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said there was something that sounded like a loud explosion near two of the tanks. Those two tanks were then fully engulfed in flames.

Authorities say they believe the two tanks possibly contained unrefined petroleum and brine.

The fire was contained and while there were no reports of any injuries, the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office posted video which shows two juveniles running away from the tanks around the time the fire started.

“We are concerned for their well being. One of them was observed splashing water on their face at a nearby retention pond, and they may need medical attention,” the fire marshal’s office said on Facebook. “If you know who they are, please help make sure they receive the care they need. You can also contact the HCSO non emergency line at 713 221 6000.”

The investigation remains ongoing.
