Pastor, 2 others arrested in deadly hit-and-run crash

CONROE, Texas – Three people, including a pastor, have been arrested and charged in connection with the deadly auto-pedestrian crash that killed a 46-year-old man.

Stephan Santeli Castro, 35, Angelica Flores, 61, and pastor Juan Murillo Wilson, 34, have all been arrested. Castro is charged with failure to stop and render aid, Flores is charged with failure to report a felony, and Wilson is charged with tampering with physical evidence.

On Sunday, Nov. 9, around 7 p.m., Conroe police responded to a crash involving a pedestrian in the 200 block of North Loop 336 East.

Police found 46-year-old Brett Wilborn dead in the middle of the street. They had learned that Wilborn had been hit by two vehicles, first by a dark colored sport utility vehicle that fled the scene and then by a second vehicle that stayed at the scene.

On Friday, Nov. 21, members of the Traffic Incident Reconstruction Unit, along with the District Attorney’s Office, located the driver and passenger involved at a home located in the 600 block of Phylis Court.

Officers said they found a 2017 burgundy Chevrolet Suburban inside a closed garage.

Investigators said pastor Wilson helped Castro and Flores hide the vehicle used in the hit-and-run.
