Listeners of ESPN 97.5 FM reported unusual audio on Sunday, as the station’s signal was temporarily taken over by an unknown source.
An unknown voice reportedly aired offensive messages and promoted social media accounts on Reddit, X, and Bluesky.
Station officials posted on X that the audio “didn’t come from the radio station” and said they were working to fix the issue. They thanked listeners who alerted them.
The voice sounded AI-generated, and no further details have been released.
