HOUSTON – Two men have died after a shooting on Houston’s west side Friday evening.
The shooting happened in the 6300 block of Windswept Lane.

According to HPD, they were called to the scene after getting reports of a man that had been assaulted and was injured.
When they arrived, they found a man at the front of an apartment complex dead with gunshot wounds.
Shortly afterwards, they got a report of another man on the ground on a walking path along a nearby bayou. Police found the man, who was also dead from gunshot wounds.

Lt. Larry Crowson with HPD says they believe there was some sort of argument between several individuals, at which point the two men were shot. The first man collapsed at the front of the apartment complex while the other one was able to run to the path along the bayou where he then collapsed.
Police are looking for additional surveillance video and witnesses to get more information about the suspects.
