2 pickup trucks involved in major crash on Houston’s North Freeway

A major accident involving two pickup trucks stopped traffic on Houston’s North Freeway Saturday morning.

The accident happened on the I-45 Northbound at North Main at the intersection of Patton Street. It was reported at around 4:57 a.m.

It is unclear whether or not other vehicles beyond the two trucks were involved.

One male was detained at the scene, but the reason remains unclear.

The right shoulder, right lane, center lane and exit ramp were closed after the crash.

Severe thunderstorms have made driving conditions dicey across Houston.
