Mission Bend Branch Library closed after car crashes into building

The Mission Bend Branch Library is temporarily closed for repairs after a vehicle crashed into the front of the building.

Officials with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said the library was closed to the public when the crash happened, though employees were inside. No one inside was injured.

The driver, who may have suffered a medical episode before the crash, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

The Mission Bend Branch will remain closed for repairs until further notice.
