Water main break causing flooding along Southwest Freeway at Westpark Drive

HOUSTON – A water main break caused flooding along the Southwest Freeway at Hillcroft Avenue and Westpark Drive Friday afternoon.

Officials said the break was reported around 1:32 p.m. at 6221 Southwest Freeway.

The Houston Fire Department responded to the scene and contacted the Houston Police Department, which closed off the street to traffic.

The incident has been turned over to Houston Public Works.

It’s unclear how long repairs will take.
