HOUSTON – A man tied to a murder investigation in Louisiana was killed when a driver hit him in east Harris County.
It all started with a stolen car out of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana that may have been tied to a murder investigation.

Deputies said they spotted the car in the parking lot of the Walmart on east Beltway 8 and Wallisville.
As deputies were approaching, they said two men jumped out and took off running.
One man climbed over the barrier and ran onto Beltway 8, where a passing driver hit him.
He died on the scene.
The second man kept running but was caught hiding in a nearby backyard two hours later.
Investigators said he’s now in custody and will be questioned by detectives from Louisiana.
The stolen car linked to that murder case was recovered.
