Gunman on the run after man shot multiple times at west Houston apartment

HOUSTON – Authorities are on the hunt for a gunman accused of shooting a man several times Friday morning outside an apartment in west Houston.

Details are limited due to how active the scene is, but investigators were called a little after 7 a.m. to the complex on Westheimer and South Kirkwood Road.

KPRC 2 News Reporter Brittany Jeffers arrived at the scene and spoke with a resident, saying he heard about three gunshots and saw the victim on the ground.

It’s believed the suspect was wearing a white shirt, black pants, and a black hat, and was last seen fleeing westbound behind the apartment complex.
