Cleveland bar shooting suspect, who left 2 dead, 4 injured added to Texas’ Most Wanted list

LIBERTY COUNTY. Texas – The 32-year-old man accused of opening fire outside a Cleveland bar on Sunday, leaving two dead and four injured, has now been added to the Texas Department of Public Safety’s “Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants list.”

A murder warrant was issued for Jose Osman Aguilar Cantillano, and deputies warned he’s armed and dangerous, after the shooting outside of the Las Locas Sports Bar on Sept. 7.

Deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office said Cantillano, a Honduran native, arrived at the bar around midnight, ordered drinks, and sat alone for more than an hour. He left shortly before closing, then returned minutes later and opened fire on patrons gathered outside on the patio. Investigators say he also shot toward the front doors of the business before fleeing.

Six people were shot. Alexis Jasso, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene. Fernando Navarrete, 43, was flown to a Houston hospital, where he died the following day.

The four survivors have been identified as Sandra Patricia Valiz Adrian, 42, who was shot in the hand; Aldegundo Alvarez Trujillo, 40, who was also shot in the hand; Jose Rafael Sanchez, 34, who was shot in the shoulder; and Andres Gonzalez, 35, who was shot in the leg. All four were treated and released.

Aguilar Cantillano’s criminal history in Texas dates back to 2016 and includes an arrest for assault causing bodily injury to a family member and multiple arrests for driving while intoxicated.

Cantillano is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

He is known to have ties to Liberty and Harris counties, including the cities of Colony Ridge and Houston.
