President Trump orders American flags to be lowered to half-staff in response to murder of Charlie Kirk

After conservative political activist Charlie Kirk was fatally shot at a speaking event at Utah Valley University, President Donald Trump has ordered American flags to be lowered to half-staff in his honor.

The president made the announcement on TRUTH Social Wednesday afternoon:

“In honor of Charlie Kirk, a truly Great American Patriot, I am ordering all American Flags throughout the United States lowered to Half Mast until Sunday evening at 6 P.M.”

Kirk was 31 years old. He leaves behind a wife and two children.

The suspected shooter is not in custody at this time.
