Teen, 17, killed at large party in east Harris County

HOUSTON – A 17-year-old was killed after a shooting at a large party in east Harris County.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said about 200 people were at the party on Waldine Street near Penn City Road at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies said three to four men approached the victim and a fight broke out.

The victim was shot and killed at the scene.

The shooters, in their late teens to early 20s, were on the run.

“Right now, we believe that this person was targeted by these individuals so we’re looking into the connection he may have had to them,” said Sgt. Brown.
