HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Power outages are improving across Harris County on Tuesday morning after severe thunderstorms knocked out electricity for more than 24,000 CenterPoint customers Monday night.
As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, approximately 1,600 customers remain without power, according to CenterPoint Energy. Crews are actively responding and working to restore service as safely and quickly as possible.

The outages were initially concentrated west of Loop 610 near the Katy Freeway, including Spring Branch, and along Beltway 8 near Highway 249 in the Willowbrook area. These neighborhoods were hit by strong storms that produced damaging winds and large hail.
CenterPoint officials are reminding residents to stay away from downed power lines.
