HOUSTON – Authorities have a man behind bars facing animal cruelty charges after a joint investigation with the Houston SPCA and Harris County Constable Precinct 1.
In a Facebook post, the Houston SPCA said a 5-month-old puppy was rescued from abuse more than a week ago after one of his back legs was broken.

Constable Alan Rosen shared in a separate post that Carrick Green, 43, was arrested and charged with animal cruelty for hanging the pup by its neck.

Green is now facing felony charges for animal cruelty.
