One person dead following a hit-and-run crash in northwest Houston

According to Houston Police, a woman was killed following a hit-and-run incident around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday.

Details are limited, but officers said that a woman was pushing her car along the North Freeway near W. Mount Houston Dr. when she was hit by the driver of another vehicle.
According to officers, the person driving that vehicle then left the scene.

According to TxDOT, the North Freeway near Gulf Bank was closed during the investigation.
This is an ongoing investigation.
